Mission and History

  • History of the APIFS

Asia Pacific Institute for Strategy is a non-profit-making organization which aims to be the leading research organization advancing business innovation and strategy in Asia Pacific.

In view of the financial tsunami 2007-2008, a team of educators at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and executives at Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks teamed up together to develop an innovation platform to empower executives to embrace the disruption.

After three years of development, over thousands of enterprises had enrolled into the platform to connect-and-develop for new ideas and business partnerships. And a series of research papers on business strategies of Asia Pacific were published at leading journals and different industry committees have been formed.

To advance its vision to lead businesses to transform in the digital age, in 2013, Asia Pacific Institute for Strategy registered as a non-profit organization at the government.
