Mr Anthony Wong See Ho, BBS

Anthony Wong is a professional accountant qualified in 1974, and is a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He joined the Swire Group in 1968 and worked in Airline Planning, Internal Audit and Accounts Department of Cathay Pacific Airways. He was General Manager Finance of Cathay Pacific Airways Limited before being appointed to the position of Chief Executive and General Manager of Cathay Pacific Catering Services (HK) Limited and joined the Board on 1 December 1992. In February 1998, he was appointed as Chief Executive Officer responsible for the worldwide operations of Cathay Pacific Catering Services.

In November 1994, he was also appointed as the Chairman of Vogue Laundry Service Limited which is Asia's largest single-site laundry plant.

He joined Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) as Managing Director and its Board on 1 April 1999. He relinquished his executive position effective 1 September 2010 and remained as the Senior Advisor to the company until 31 May 2012. He was admitted as a Chartered Fellow (FCILT) of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in September 2011.

He has been a member of the Hong Kong Logistics Development Council (LOGSCOUNCIL) for eight years from January 2004. He was a member of the General Management Committee of the Hong Kong Management Association from July 2008 to July 2011.

On 1 July 2011, he was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star Award by The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, recognizing his dedication and valuable contribution to the development of the logistics industry in Hong Kong.

He has been a Member of the Aviation Development Advisory Committee since September 2009.

Poon, Chung Yin Joseph

Mr. Poon Chung Yin, also known as Joseph, served as Managing Director and Deputy Chief Executive of Hang Seng Bank Ltd., from April 21, 2005 to September 2009 and also served as its Deputy Chief Executive Officer from December 2004 to September 2009.

Mr. Poon joined Arthur Andersen & Co. in 1976 and was qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Australia. He left Arthur Andersen in 1981 to further his career in a number of internationally renowned financial institutions. Mr. Poon joined HSBC Group in 1988 as Deputy Managing Director of Wayfoong Shipping Services Limited (HSBC Group's shipping financing arm in Asia).

He has been an Independent non-executive Director of Hysan Development Company Limited since January 11, 2010. Mr. Poon serves as Non-Executive Director of The TCC Group, a private shipping enterprise. He served as Independent Non-Executive Director of AAC Technologies Holdings Inc. between October 2009 and May 2020.

Mr. Poon was a Member of the Board of Inland Revenue Department of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, a committee member of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Environmental and Conservation Fund Investment Committee.

Mr. Poon served as Chairman of Hang Seng Index Advisory Committee of Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited and a Member of Campaign Committee of The Community Chest of Hong Kong. He is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand.

Mr. Poon is also a fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors. He holds a bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Western Australia.


Sr Dr Stephen Lai Yuk-fai

Former President, Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors

A well-respected quantity surveyor and construction cost estimator, Stephen is a Former Managing Director of Rider Levett Bucknall in Hong Kong and the Mainland of China. For more than 30 years, he has developed creative project delivery strategies for clients throughout Asia, the Middle East, Russia and USA.

Stephen has made significant contributions to the profession of quantity surveying. He is currently the Chairman of the Mainland Affairs Committee of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors; a Director of the China Engineering Cost Association (CECA) and a Consultant of the Shenzhen Construction Costs Management Department (SZCECMD). Stephen was the past President of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (2012-2013) and the Past Chairman of its Quantity Surveying Division (2008-2009). He was also the Past Chairman of the Junior Organisation of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Hong Kong Branch) and the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (1994-1995).

Stephen is also an active participant in public services. He is a Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) of Xuhui District, Shanghai, and a Member of the Election Council of the 13th National People’s Congress of the HKSAR. He was also a Member of the 2011 Election Committee for election of the Chief Executive of the HKSAR.

He is currently a Council Member of the Construction Industry Council (CIC) and the Chairperson of Committee on Construction Procurement; a Board Member of Zero Carbon Building; a Member of the Corruption Prevention Advisory Committee of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC); a Member of the Start-up Loan for Post-secondary Education Providers Vetting Committee; a Member of the Appeal Tribunal Panel; a Member of the Working Group on Professional Services for Economic Development Commission (EDC) and a Member of Provision of Space in the Legal Hub Committee. On 1 July 2019, Stephen was appointed as Justice of the Peace by the HKSAR.

Stephen earned his Honorary Doctor of Science in 2018 and Bachelor of Science in 1984 from the University of Aston in Birmingham, United Kingdom, and obtained his Master of Science in E-Commerce for Executives from Hong Kong Polytechnic University.


Mr Francis Ngai, MHKCS

Vice President (Industry Relations) & Honorary Secretary, Hong Kong Computer Society

Francis Ngai is Honorary Secretary and Vice-President of Hong Kong Computer So-ciety in charge of Industry Relations, convening three streams of sub-committees, namely, Retail, Travel & Transportation, and Construction industry. He was the General Manager of IBM China/Hong Kong Limited, overseeing IBM’s business operations and strategic devel-opment in Hong Kong. He has been leading the company to assist clients for their digital transformation journey. Francis retired from IBM in October 2021 after his 34 years of ser-vices and he has just started his new journey with the Doctorate Degree program in HKUST. He also sits in advisory boards of various organizations and acts as a mentor to the Start-ups in Science Park.

Francis has been acknowledged as a transformation leader since his role as Commer-cial Business Director in IBM. He was the one integrating the Digital Sales and Commercial salesforce during the dot-com age. Swift, Sharp and Agile (SSA) were always his advocacy in his business operation.

He joined IBM in 1987 from campus recruitment from The Chinese University of Hong Kong as a Sales Representative and ever worked in various functions and client seg-ments including Greater China Group. He left IBM for EMC for four years in 2000 for the capacity of HK General Manager, Channel Director for South China, and Sales Director for Industrial Sector in China, and then rejoined IBM in 2004.

Francis is an active participant in the Hong Kong community and IT industry. Other than HKCS, he is also appointed as the Chairman of the HK ICT Award 2021 organized by the Government. Francis is also a member of the Cyberport Advisory Panel, vice-chairman of the eMPF Committee in Industry FinTech Association, board advisor of YAS Insurance, The University of Hong Kong, CUHK Business School, and Heng Seng University, while also serving the Community Chest as member in the Fund Allocation Committee.


Mr Alan Lo

Former Managing Director, FedEx Logistics

Graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1984, Mr Alan Lo Lun Fai obtained his Master of Business Administration Degree from the Hong Kong Metropolitan University in 2000.

His brilliant career spanned more than 35 years in the logistics industry covering air, ocean and supply chain management. After a period as a management trainee with US Line and various sales functions with APL & Kline, Mr Lo joined the freight forwarding industry in 1992 with Expeditors International, progressing from Ocean Manager to Regional Vice President.

After 20 years with Expeditors International, Mr Lo became Managing Director – Air of FedEx Trade Networks in 2013, responsible for air products, airlines relationship and expanding the customer network.

In 2017, MR Lo was transferred to the regional function in FedEx Logistics and was appointed Manager Director – Products, Services and Networking Planning to lead product development, global account management and value-added services.

Retiring in June 2021, Mr Lo joined the Hang Seng University as a contract lecturer to share his knowledge and experience with aspiring business students and executives.
