Asia Pacific Institute for Strategy Invited to ESG Panel Discussion on Strategies in a Changing Environment

Event: ESG Panel Discussion – "Strategies for ESG in a Changing Environment"

Hong Kong – The Asia Pacific Institute for Strategy (APIFS) was honored to participate in a high-profile panel discussion on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies amidst a rapidly changing global landscape. The event, held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, attracted prominent leaders and experts from various sectors to discuss the evolving challenges and opportunities within the ESG domain.

The esteemed panel included:

  1. Dr. Lam Ching-Choi, SBS, JP - Chairperson of the Carbon Neutrality and Sustainable Development Committee and Non-Official Member of the Executive Council. Dr. Lam shared his perspectives on Hong Kong's path toward carbon neutrality and sustainable development.
  2. Mr. Tang Fei, MH - Vice President of the Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers and Legislative Council Member (Election Committee Constituency). Mr. Tang emphasized the crucial role of education in fostering ESG awareness and action among the younger generation.
  3. Dr. Mark Lee - Research Director at the Asia Pacific Institute for Strategy. Dr. Lee highlighted the importance of agile ESG strategies that allow businesses to navigate the complexities of a dynamic global environment.
  4. Prof. Kenneth Leung, JP - Chair Professor and Dean of the School of Energy and Environment at City University of Hong Kong. Prof. Leung discussed the technological and policy innovations necessary to advance sustainable energy and environmental protection.

As an invited participant, APIFS shared valuable insights on how organizations can effectively integrate ESG principles into their core strategies. Dr. Mark Lee emphasized the growing significance of ESG as a framework for resilience and competitiveness in today's global markets. He noted, "Incorporating ESG into business strategies is no longer optional; it is essential for long-term success and sustainability."

The event provided a platform for engaging discussions on the future of ESG in Hong Kong and beyond, with a focus on collaboration between industry, education, and government to achieve sustainable growth.
