APIFS Participates in Successful Hong Kong Apparel Society Seminar on Supply Chain Stability with Dr. Mark Lee
Hong Kong – November 11, 2024 – The Asia Pacific Institute for Strategy (APIFS) was honored to participate in an impactful seminar hosted by the Hong Kong Apparel Society, where APIFS’s Dr. Mark Lee delivered a keynote address on "Mastering Supply Chain Stability: Applying the Law of Variability in the Garment Industry." Held at the United Services Recreation Club in Jordan, the event brought together industry leaders and professionals to tackle the pressing challenges of supply chain volatility in today’s garment industry.
Dr. Lee’s presentation introduced attendees to Professor Wallace Hopp’s "Law of Variability," a pioneering framework developed at the University of Michigan, offering practical approaches to mitigate risks associated with fluctuating demand and supply disruptions. Dr. Lee shared strategic insights on applying this theory to create more predictable and controlled manufacturing environments, equipping participants with valuable tools to stabilize their operations and reduce costs despite current economic and geopolitical uncertainties.
The seminar concluded with a lively Q&A session, where attendees engaged with Dr. Lee on practical applications of the "Law of Variability" and networked with peers. Photos from the event, showcasing key moments and discussions, are attached to this release.
