APIFS and HKIHRM Launch GenAI Leadership Trilogy to Strengthen Hong Kong’s Position in the AI Era

【Hong Kong, 27 March 2026】 - The Asia Pacific Institute for Strategy (APIFS), in strategic partnership with the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management (HKIHRM), has successfully completed the first session of the GenAI Leadership Trilogy, a three-part executive seminar series designed to equip senior HR leaders with the capabilities and frameworks required to lead in the era of Generative AI.

This initiative reflects a shared strategic mission by APIFS and HKIHRM: to support Hong Kong’s transformation into a leading hub in the AI era by strengthening leadership capability, organizational readiness, and strategic execution.

From Technology Awareness to Leadership Capability

The first session, titled “From Prompts to Performance,” focused on the practical application of advanced prompting as a leadership capability. Moving beyond basic usage, the session demonstrated how structured prompting, reasoning frameworks, and quality-control techniques can significantly enhance productivity, decision-making, and work quality.

Participants explored real-world applications across HR, finance, and leadership communication, highlighting the importance of embedding GenAI into daily workflows with discipline and clarity.

Strategic Collaboration to Bridge AI Potential and Execution

The GenAI Leadership Trilogy represents a strategic collaboration between APIFS and HKIHRM, combining complementary strengths in strategy, leadership development, and human capital.

APIFS brings its deep expertise in business strategy and transformation, while HKIHRM provides access to a strong network of HR leaders and practitioners across Hong Kong. Together, the partnership aims to bridge the gap between AI potential and enterprise execution, ensuring organizations can translate emerging technologies into measurable business outcomes.

A Structured Approach to AI Transformation

The trilogy is designed around three critical dimensions of transformation:

  • Capability — developing advanced GenAI skills among leaders and teams
  • Strategy — identifying and prioritizing high-impact AI opportunities
  • Systems — redesigning management frameworks to support AI-enabled work

By integrating these dimensions, APIFS and HKIHRM seek to address a key challenge facing organizations: moving from fragmented experimentation to coordinated, enterprise-wide AI transformation.

Advancing Hong Kong’s Leadership in the AI Era

As global competition accelerates, Hong Kong’s future competitiveness will depend on its ability to align technology adoption with leadership capability and organizational change.

Through this initiative, APIFS continues to play a leading role in developing forward-looking leaders and supporting organizations in navigating the complexities of the AI era. The collaboration with HKIHRM marks an important step toward building a stronger ecosystem where strategy, talent, and technology evolve together.
